At Kumbukumbu, we are dedicated to highlighting the rich Black Welsh history and heritage through various educational initiatives tailored for communities and schools. Our diverse programmes include school workshops led by our talented artists and creative practitioners, as well as our annual teachers' forum.
We pride ourselves on curating educational resources that are customized based on each school's location and the age of the learners we engage with.
"it was such a worthwhile and inspiring session. The smiles and excitement on the faces of my pupils throughout was so lovely to see and they were so grateful to work alongside a ‘real artist’."
Hannah, Teacher, Cardiff
"the fact that the artists were themselves representatives of Welsh Black artists made any discussion about Welsh Black History more meaningful."
Julie, Port Talbot
"Kumbukumbu enabled me to have a more open and informed conversation about race that carried on long after the workshop."
Gavin, Teacher, Cardiff
